Smb Bricks Work is located at Plot No. 3/72, right on the Thally-Denkanikottai Road. We are in Gumalapuram Village, under the Thally Post. It’s a bit of a rural area, but being on the main road helps a lot with getting materials in and out. We’ve been here in the village for a long time. The business is basically our lives. We get up early, head to the yard, and stay there until the work is finished. It’s a lot of physical labor, making sure the bricks are handled right and the kiln is behaving. We don’t have a fancy corporate office; our office is just a small room at the edge of the plot. It gets hot in the summer and a bit drafty in the winter, but it’s where we do the paperwork. Most of the people who work here are from the village or nearby. We know each other well. It’s not like a big city job where you don’t know your neighbor. We talk about the weather and the crops while we work. The road outside can get busy with people traveling between Thally and Denkanikottai. We’ve seen a lot of trucks go by over the years. If you’re looking for us, just drive down the Thally-Denkanikottai Road and you’ll see our stacks of bricks in Gumalapuram. We’re easy to spot and usually ready to help whoever stops by.
