We’ve been at C-2/28- A Yamuna Vihar for a while now. Most people around here know us for the bags we put together. It’s a busy spot. We started out small, just a few sewing machines and some rolls of material, and we've just kept at it since then. The workshop gets pretty loud during the day with all the stitching going on. We handle a lot of different orders, some big and some small. We don't really do fancy ads or anything. Most of our work comes from folks who have heard about us through word of mouth. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, which slows things down, but we manage to get the work done eventually. It’s just us here, making sure the handles are on tight and the zippers actually work. We spend a lot of time looking at different fabrics and threads. The space is a bit cramped sometimes with all the finished stock piled up near the door. My brother usually handles the deliveries while I stay back to check on the sewing. It's not a glamorous job, just honest work making things people use every day to carry their groceries or books. We like being in this part of town. It feels like home to us. We try to keep things simple and just focus on making sure the bags don't fall apart after a week. That’s pretty much what we do every day. There are always scraps of fabric on the floor and the smell of new material in the air.
