We are located up on the third floor of building number 36 in Panchsheel Vihar. It’s flat number 6, so you have to walk up the stairs to get to us. Malviya Nagar in New Delhi is a real mix of everything, and our little office reflects that. It’s not a huge space, but it’s where we do all the planning and design work for our interior projects. From the windows, you can see the rooftops of the neighborhood and hear the street vendors shouting down below. It’s a bit cramped sometimes when we have a lot of people in for a meeting, but we make it work. We spend our days drawing up plans and talking to suppliers on the phone. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed; we aren't into the whole corporate hierarchy thing. Most of us just wear regular clothes and grab a quick lunch from one of the local stalls nearby. Since it’s a flat, it feels a bit like working from home, which makes the long hours a little easier to deal with. We deal with clients from all over the city, and they often find it a bit funny to come up to a residential-looking building for professional work. But once they see the drawings and the samples we have scattered around, they get what we’re about. It’s just a small team of us here in Delhi, keeping busy and getting things done.
