Western Packaging Co. sits right at Khasra No. 610 in Siraspur. If you are coming this way, you’ll see us near HPR Public School and just across from Mahadev Dharam Kanta. It’s a bit of a dusty stretch of road, but it’s easy to find once you know the landmarks. We have a lot of space here for all the materials we keep on hand. The school nearby means there are always kids and parents around in the mornings, so we have to be careful with the trucks. It is a working yard mostly. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. Most of our day is spent dealing with boxes and packing stuff up for transport. It’s physical work. My hands are usually a bit rough from handling the cardboard and tape all day long. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend an hour fixing them, which can be frustrating when we are in a hurry. We just try to get the orders out on time without making any mistakes. It’s a small team here in Siraspur. We know each other's families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. Siraspur has changed a lot since we first set up shop, with more buildings popping up every year. But we are still here, doing the same work we’ve always done. It’s steady and it keeps us busy. That is all we really ask for. It's not a bad life for us.
