Our place is at M-189 in Sector 5 of the Bawana Industrial Area. Waig Solar is what we call ourselves. We are right in the middle of the DSIIDC area, so it’s always active with trucks, laborers, and the constant sound of machines. We focus on solar setups for the factories around here and some residential spots too. The office is mostly for planning out where the panels will go and handling all the billing stuff. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here every day, but this is where the industry is located. We’ve got a small team that handles the mounting and the wiring on the roofs. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is beating down on you, which is a bit ironic for people in the solar business. We don’t have a sleek website or a big sales force to drum up business. We just talk to the factory owners nearby and show them the work we’ve done for their neighbors. Usually, they just want to know how much they can cut their electricity costs by. We give them a straight answer. Sometimes the parts are delayed from the suppliers, and we have to explain that to the clients, which isn't our favorite part of the job. But we try to stay on top of things. The tea here is strong and the days are usually pretty long. It’s just a group of people trying to make a living in the renewable sector.
