Vishwakarma Furniture House

We are located at 3/12 in the DSIIDC shed over in Khichri Pur. If you’re looking for the Barat Ghar, we’re right near there in Block-3. Being in a DSIIDC shed means the space is practical, but it can get a bit crowded when we have several orders going at once. Vishwakarma Furniture House is full of the smell of cut wood and sawdust. It’s on the floor, on our clothes, and even in our hair by the end of the shift. We make all sorts of things like beds, cupboards, and tables. It’s not factory-made stuff where everything is perfect and identical. Each piece has its own quirks because we’re working the wood ourselves. Sometimes a drawer sticks a little or a finish has a small mark, but that’s because a person made it, not a machine. We use hammers, saws, and a lot of sandpaper. The shed can get noisy when the neighbors are working too, but you get used to it. People from the local neighborhood usually stop by to ask for small repairs or to see what we’re building. We don’t have a showroom with bright lights. You just see the wood and the tools right there where we work. It’s honest labor, and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down over Khichri Pur. We just focus on making things that stay together for a long time.
