VENUS LINING

We are tucked away in Humayun Pur, right in the Safdarjung Enclave area. It’s a bit of a tight spot at 80/2, but we make it work. We specialize in lining materials. Most people don't think much about the inside of a jacket or a skirt, but that’s all we think about. We’ve got rolls of silk, polyester, and cotton linings stacked up to the ceiling. It can be hard to find a specific shade sometimes, so we spend a lot of time digging through the shelves. The light in here is a bit dim, but we know where everything is. It’s a small operation. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the inventory inside out. Safdarjung is a nice neighborhood, though parking is always a headache for anyone visiting. We usually just tell people to walk from the main road. The shop smells like fresh fabric and a bit of old paper from the ledgers we keep. We still write a lot of things down by hand. It’s just easier that way for us. We don't do any big advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s a quiet kind of business. We just cut the fabric, roll it back up, and get it ready for the tailors and designers who need it. It is what it is, just a simple place for lining cloth.
