Our team is based at the Project Site Office over in Bhurkamunda. This is the Vedanta Aluminium Limited, Jharsuguda, Orissa location where most of the heavy lifting happens. Being right on the project site means things are always a bit dusty and loud, but that’s just the nature of the work. Bhurkamunda is where we spend our days. It is not an office for people who like to stay perfectly clean. We’ve got boots by the door and blueprints scattered across the tables. Vedanta Aluminium Limited, Jharsuguda, Orissa is a big operation, but here at the site office, it feels much smaller. We all know each other and we see the same faces every morning. The site has been active for a while and we’ve seen it change quite a bit. It’s a practical environment. We don't have fancy furniture or any of that. We have sturdy chairs and a coffee machine that gets a lot of use. People come in and out all day, usually with some kind of update or a problem that needs fixing right then. That is just how life is in Bhurkamunda. We do our best to stay on top of the schedule. It’s hard work, but it’s honest work. We are just here doing our part for the project. Every day brings a different challenge, but we just get on with it.
