We are located at number 33 in Vaishali, right off Gali No. 1. If you know the Dabri Palam Road, you know it’s always moving. Varindera Constructions Pvt. Ltd. is basically right in the middle of all that noise and activity in New Delhi-45. It’s not a big corporate building, just a regular spot where we keep our stuff. Usually, the office is full of blueprints and empty chai glasses. We spend a lot of time arguing over schedules or waiting for suppliers to show up. The traffic outside never really stops, so it’s never exactly quiet here. We have a few desks and a cupboard that’s overflowing with old files from years ago. Everyone here pretty much knows everyone else. It’s a tight space, so you end up hearing every phone call. We do a lot of our thinking on our feet. Sometimes we sit on the plastic chairs outside if the weather isn't too bad, just to get a break from the fluorescent lights. There isn't any fancy lobby or a person at the front desk to greet you. You just walk in and find someone. It’s how we’ve always done it. Most days are long, and we end up staying until the streetlights come on. It’s just a regular workplace for people who deal with bricks and mortar. We don't put on a show for anyone.
