V K Paints Sanitary & Hardware Store

Our store is sitting right on the Joharipur Main Road. V K Paints Sanitary & Hardware is pretty much your standard neighborhood hardware shop. We keep a bit of everything on the shelves—tins of paint, PVC pipes, hand tools, and all those tiny nuts and bolts you need for fixing things around the house. It is a bit crowded inside the shop because we try to keep as much stock as we can fit into the space. If you are looking for a very specific type of screw or a certain brand of tap, we probably have it tucked away in a corner somewhere. We open up early in the morning and we stay open until the sun goes down and then some. The main road is always full of traffic, so we get plenty of people stopping by on their way home from work. We aren't a big chain store with a fancy uniform; we are just local people. We recognize most of the faces that come through our door. The shop doesn't have a modern layout; it is just rows of shelves and old counters piled high with goods. Sometimes it takes us a few minutes to dig out what a customer is looking for, but we usually find it eventually. The floor gets a bit dusty from the bags of white cement, but that is just how it is in this business. We’ve been part of the Joharipur community for quite a while now.
