U.P.Asbestos Ltd- Lucknow

Even though the name says Lucknow, our office is right here in Basant Lok, New Delhi. We are in Ja House, 63 Basant Lok to be exact. It is a famous spot in the city, very different from our manufacturing roots. I work at one of the desks here handling the administrative side of things for the asbestos business. It is a bit strange being in such a commercial area while dealing with industrial building materials, but it makes the meetings easier. The office is often full of folders and ledger books. We coordinate between the factories and the customers from this room. Basant Lok can be a bit loud with all the shoppers and the cinema nearby, but inside we just focus on the numbers. I usually walk to get some food at lunch because there are so many options. The company has been around for a long time. We don't use a lot of fancy software; we still like our paper files and handwritten notes for some things. It feels more real that way. We aren't here to impress people with big speeches. We just make sure the orders are processed and the logistics are handled. My boss is usually on the phone with the plant, and I am usually replying to emails. It’s a steady rhythm. Being in Delhi gives us a good central point for all the paperwork that needs to move around. It is a bit of a squeeze in the office sometimes, but we make it work.
