Universe Construction

Universe Construction is based over here at 188/1 in Savitri Nagar. If you know New Delhi-17, you know it can get pretty crowded. Our office is just a simple room where we keep our tools and the site logs. We spend most of our time out on actual sites, so the office is often just a place to catch up on paperwork in the evenings. There is always dust on everything, that’s just how construction goes. We started small, just doing little repairs and now we handle slightly bigger things. We don't have a big team of suits, just workers who know how to handle a shovel and cement. The neighbors know us because we’ve been at this address for a good bit. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools and talk about the next job. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady. We deal with the local suppliers nearby for sand and bricks. The lanes in Savitri Nagar are narrow, so getting the materials delivered can be a real pain. We have to time it right or the trucks get stuck. We don't use any fancy software, just a notebook and some grit. Every day is different. One day we are fixing a roof, the next we are looking at a new foundation. We just take things as they come and try to finish what we started. The phone rings at odd hours, but that's just how the business is. We stay busy and keep the tools clean.
