Ultima Switchgears Ltd.

We are located in Mangol Puri, over in North West Delhi. Our unit is L-805, and it’s right in the middle of all the action. If you’ve ever been to Mangol Puri, you know it’s a very busy place with a lot of small industries and shops. We handle switchgears here, so the office is often filled with the smell of metal and electrical components. It’s a practical space. We have some heavy machinery and benches where we check the equipment. It can get pretty loud during the day when the work is in full swing. The Delhi heat in the summer is no joke, so we have these big coolers running to keep everyone from melting. We’ve been here for quite some years now, and we’ve seen the whole area grow and change. It’s not a fancy office where you wear a suit. We mostly wear work clothes because things can get a bit greasy. There’s a lot of loading and unloading happening at our doorstep, with trucks coming in and out of the narrow lanes. Sometimes we have to move our own vehicles just to let a delivery through. It’s a bit of a squeeze, but that’s just life in this part of Delhi. We know all the other business owners on the block, so there's always someone to borrow a tool from or have a quick tea with. Everyone helps each other out when things get difficult, and that makes the long hours feel a little bit shorter.
