You can find Uem India Pvt. Ltd over in Moradabad at the Murli Manohar Building. It’s on Pat-Pat Sarai in the Bazar Ganj area. It is a busy part of town, always full of people moving around. Shri Arun Kumar Singh is the name on the door mostly. We’ve been operating out of this building for a long time now. It’s one of those older structures that has a bit of character, even if the stairs are a little steep. Inside, it’s mostly just us working on engineering and environmental projects. We have a lot of maps and blueprints laying around. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take our only breaks. Moradabad is known for its brass, but we focus on the technical side of infrastructure and water. It is a lot of number crunching and project planning. We aren't a big corporate machine with a glass lobby. It’s more of a place where you can walk in and talk to the person in charge without going through five layers of management. We have some people who have worked here since they were kids. It’s a steady life. We deal with the heat in the summer and the crowds in the market every day. It’s not always easy, but it is our work, and we take it seriously without making a big show of it. We just keep our heads down and get the job done.
