Our place is located in Udyog Nagar at number K-48. It is right across from Peera Garhi, so the area is always buzzing with people and vehicles going every which way. Point Footwear Pvt. Ltd. is basically what you would expect from a spot in an industrial zone. We have got shoes in various stages of being sorted or packed up. It can get pretty noisy around here with all the other factories and units nearby, but you get used to the sounds of the road and the machinery after a few days. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that. It is more of a practical workspace where the main focus is just getting the footwear out to where it needs to go. The floors are concrete and there is usually a smell of rubber or glue in the air, depending on what we are working on that morning. We spend our hours checking boxes and keeping track of the stock. It is hard work and the days can be long, especially when the weather is hot and the industrial estate feels like a furnace. But it is what we do. People come and go from Peera Garhi, and we just keep our heads down and get through the batches. It is a straightforward business without any of the extra polish you see in the malls. Just boots and shoes and a lot of boxes. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can to avoid any backlog.
