Our place is located at R-7 in the Rita Block of Shakkarpur. If you have ever been to this part of New Delhi-92, you know how crowded the streets can get. Tuf Metallurgical has been operating out of this small office for a long time. It is not a flashy building with glass windows and a lobby. It is just a practical space where we handle all our metallurgical business and paperwork. My desk is usually a mess of folders and notes, but I can find whatever I need in a few seconds. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on orders. It is a lot of coordination work. We do not have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy slogans. We just talk to people plainly. The tea stall down the street is where we get our morning fix, and that is usually the highlight of the early hours. We have a small group of staff who have stayed with us through the years. We are not trying to be the biggest company in Delhi. We just want to do our jobs properly and make sure everything is sorted by the time we lock up for the day. Sometimes we stay late when there is a big project, but mostly we just stick to our routine. It is a quiet existence but we are happy with how things are going.
