At T.R.L., things are pretty straightforward. We spend a lot of our time dealing with raw materials. That means we are constantly looking at what’s coming in from places like Orissa, Calcutta, and Raipur. We don't have a big fancy office address to show off because most of our work is about the logistics of getting these materials from one point to another. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on trucks. Dealing with suppliers in Calcutta is different from dealing with the ones in Raipur, so we have to stay on our toes. Orissa has its own way of doing things too. We aren't trying to be a huge corporation with a lot of layers. It’s just a few of us making sure the materials are what they need to be and that they show up on time. Some days are harder than others, especially when there are delays on the road or issues at the source. We don't use a lot of fancy words for what we do. We buy stuff, and we move it. It’s practical work. We’ve been doing this for a while and we know the routes pretty well by now. We don't have a big website or a lot of marketing stuff. People find us because they need what we handle. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us busy from morning until night. We just try to keep things moving. I think it is a good way to run a business.
