Golden Plastic

Golden Plastic is out in Tikri Kalan, at No. 46/9 on Street 9 in Subhash Vihar. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the city center, but we like it out here. Our workshop is usually full of the smell of raw materials and the sound of the machines running. We make plastic items of all sorts. There is always a pile of scrap in one corner and finished bins in the other. It’s a dirty job sometimes, and the machines can be really loud, so we have to shout to hear each other. We’re just a small group of workers who know how to run the extruders and molds. We don't have a website that looks like a tech company’s. In fact, most of our business happens over the phone or when people just drive up to the gate. The street outside can get pretty muddy when it rains, which makes moving the stock a bit of a pain. We have a small kettle in the back for making tea, which is how we start most of our shifts. We’ve been at this for years, and we know our way around the different types of resins and colors. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady work. We just focus on making things that people actually use. Some days are hotter than others in the shed, but we manage to get through the orders.
