The Tax Doctor

We have been working out of this spot at A 9 Indra Nagar for quite a few years now. Aadarsh Nagar is a busy area, and there is always something going on right outside the door. The Tax Doctor is basically just a small, simple office where we deal with a lot of papers and folders every single day. There are stacks of files on the desks, and sometimes they even end up on the floor when things get really hectic during the tax season. It is definitely not a fancy place with expensive furniture or big carpets. We just have some basic wooden desks, chairs that tend to creak when you sit down, and an old computer that takes its time to start up in the morning. People from the neighborhood usually drop by when they have a question about their forms or when they realize they missed a deadline. You can hear the horns and the street noise from the main road all day long. Usually, one of us is brewing a bit of tea in the back corner. It gets pretty warm in the summer months, so the ceiling fan is always spinning at top speed, making a rhythmic clicking sound that we’ve all gotten used to. We spend most of the day staring at spreadsheets and trying to figure out the latest rules. It’s mostly quiet work, until the phone starts ringing or a client walks in looking a bit worried. We just try to get through the daily pile of work and head home. That is the way it is here in Indra Nagar.
