You can find us over at Rangpuri, near the Pandit Chaupal. We are tucked away in a spot that’s care of Jai Kishore Sharma, which is a well-known name around this part of Mahipalpur. Being in New Delhi 37 means we are close to the airport and all the noise that comes with it. Teracon Construction is basically run from this small office that stays quite dusty because of all the work happening nearby. We have maps pinned to the walls and stacks of blue prints that never seem to get smaller. There is always someone coming in with a muddy pair of boots or a site supervisor looking for a specific signature. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit and tie. Most of us are in sturdy clothes because we might have to head out to a site at any minute. The office is a bit crowded with desks and samples of tiles or bricks that we are testing out. We talk about cement prices and labor schedules more than anything else. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just sit around and talk until the backup kicks in. It’s a very hands-on way to run a construction business. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team; we just rely on getting the buildings finished and making sure the bills are paid on time. It is honest work and it keeps us busy.
