Amit Hosiery Works

You can find Amit Hosiery Works at No. 2508 New Qutab Road. We are right near Chowk Teliwara in the Sadar Bazar area. If you know Sadar Bazar, you know how packed it gets with people and carts all day long. Our place is right in the middle of all that chaos. We deal with hosiery, so there are boxes of socks, undergarments, and other knit items stacked up to the ceiling. It’s an old building and the stairs are a bit narrow, but we make it work. Most of the morning is spent unloading bundles and sorting through what came in from the factories. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s a practical workspace where we count items and pack them for local shops or people coming in from out of town. The fans are always blowing to keep the dust off the stock. There is a lot of shouting from the street below, but we’re used to it. We take a break in the afternoon for tea, usually sitting on the edge of a crate because there isn't much room for chairs. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. We’ve been around Chowk Teliwara for a long time, and everyone knows us by now. We just focus on the inventory and making sure we don't lose track of what's in the piles.
