Ekta Garments

Ekta Garments is located at X/288 on the first floor in Gandhi Nagar. We are right near the Happy English School, so every morning and afternoon we hear the sounds of kids playing and the bells ringing. It’s a busy part of Raghuvarpura-1, especially being so close to Royal Street. Our workshop is filled with the sound of sewing machines and the hiss of the steam iron. There are rolls of fabric leaning against the walls in no particular order. We try to keep things moving fast because the market around here never really slows down. Most of us have worked together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. We just keep our heads down and watch the needles. The floor gets covered in colorful threads by lunch, and someone usually has to give it a quick sweep before the afternoon shift. We don't have any big signs or fancy decorations. It's just a place where we come to work and make sure the garments are put together right. Sometimes we share a big pot of tea when it gets cold outside. It’s a bit cramped and the lighting could be better, but it’s our space and it works for us. We just do our best to stay on schedule and keep the machines running smooth.
