Sunny Lights

Sunny Lights is tucked away at shop number 286 in the Old Lajpat Rai Market. If you’ve ever been to the market, you know how chaotic it is. There are wires everywhere, people shouting, and hundreds of shops selling all sorts of electronics. We’ve been part of this chaos for years. Our shop is small, like most in the market, but we pack it full of every kind of light you can think of. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two customers come in at once. We don't have air conditioning, so it gets pretty hot in the peak of summer, but we’re used to it. We know most of the other shopkeepers around us, and we often help each other out if someone is short on change or needs a specific part. It’s a tight-knit community in Old Lajpat Rai. We don't do fancy advertising. People just walk past, see something they like, and stop to bargain. That’s how business is done here. We enjoy the haggling and the face-to-face interaction. It feels more real than selling things over a computer screen. Every day brings something different, whether it's a new type of bulb or a customer with a strange request. We just take it as it comes. It’s a busy, noisy, and honest way to spend the day. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else but shop 286, doing what we know how to do best.
