Bablu Bags

Bablu Bags is located at A-3/433 37 in Sultanpuri Krishan Vihar. This neighborhood has a lot of small workshops just like ours. When you walk inside, the first thing you hear is the sound of the sewing machines going. We have big rolls of fabric leaning in the corners and bits of thread and cloth all over the floor. It’s definitely not a clean or fancy place, but it’s where we do our work. We make different kinds of bags, mostly the simple ones that people use for carrying their daily things. There are a few of us who work here every day. We sit on low wooden stools and just focus on the machines. The lighting is a bit dim, so we have a few extra bulbs hanging from wires. When the summer heat hits, we have a large fan that we turn on, but it doesn't do much besides move the hot air around the room. We don't have a website or any flyers; we just take the orders that come our way through people we know. Sometimes we have to stay late if we have a lot of work to finish, but we usually try to leave before it gets too late in the evening. The street outside is always noisy with kids and vendors, but it’s just home to us.
