Store Keeper

Out here in Vill Kukroun No 1, life moves at its own pace. I am the store keeper for this area and my days are spent mostly near the P.S-Dhamdha. Being in the Purneia district of Bihar means you get to know everyone in the village pretty quickly. I keep the supplies locked up and ready for whenever they are needed. The building isn't much to look at but it stays dry inside which is what matters for the stock. I spend a lot of time sitting on a wooden stool by the door waiting for the next delivery or someone coming to collect their goods. Sometimes the dust from the road gets everywhere so I am always sweeping. My family lives nearby so I can go home for lunch which is nice. I don't have a computer or anything like that here so all my tracking is done on paper. It's a lot of writing and checking against the labels on the bags and boxes. People around the village know where to find me if the gate is closed. I usually walk to work since everything is close by in Kukroun. Dealing with the heat in Bihar during the summer makes the job a bit tougher but I just keep the fan running and stay focused on the inventory. It is just basic work but someone has to make sure nothing goes missing from the store during the day.
