We are tucked away in Jasola Village, right near the MCD school. It’s a busy little pocket of New Delhi, and finding Plot No. 3 can be a bit tricky if you aren't looking closely. Jagbir Singh started this whole thing with Star Coatings and Membranes because there’s always a need for fixing leaks and covering surfaces in a city as big as this one. The stuff we work with can be pretty sticky and messy, so our clothes usually have a few spots on them by the end of the shift. Being near the school means it gets loud during recess, but we don't mind the energy. We aren't one of those big firms with a glass building in a fancy business park. We’re just here in the village, working out of a practical space that fits what we do. Delhi weather is tough on buildings, so we’re usually kept busy with people wanting to protect their roofs or walls before the monsoon hits. We just take the calls, load up the materials, and go where we’re needed. Sometimes the traffic in Jasola makes it hard to get out quickly, but that’s just life in Delhi. We don’t have a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just apply the coatings and make sure the membranes are laid down right. It’s honest work and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time now with the same small crew.
