Special Contractor

Started the day early here at Khirki Extension. We are up on the third floor of JF 2 C/1. It’s a bit of a climb when the lift is acting up, but you get used to it after a few months in Malviya Nagar. Most days it’s just us figuring out the next job for Special Contractor. The streets downstairs are always busy with people heading to the market or just moving about. New Delhi can be loud, but up here it’s mostly just the sound of the fan and some distant traffic. We’ve been at this address for a while now. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where we keep our tools and paperwork. Sometimes the neighbor’s kids are playing in the hallway, which makes it feel less like a stuffy office and more like a real part of the neighborhood. We handle various contracting tasks, nothing too flashy, just the usual work that comes our way. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with other people's projects to worry about ours right now. If you’re looking for us, look for the sign near the staircase. We try to keep things simple and honest here. It’s just how we operate. No big speeches or corporate talk, just us getting through the daily list. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have some tea and take a quick break before finishing up.
