The name is quite a mouthful, but we are just a lab based in Shahdra, Delhi. Our spot is at 5/334, Mohalla Moharam, right in the middle of Chakki Wali Gali. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how narrow the lanes can get. It’s a busy, crowded area and we are right in the thick of it. Salekh Chand looks after things here at Sophisticated Industrial Materials Analytic Labs Pvt Ltd. Despite the Sophisticated part of our name, the office itself is very grounded. We have our equipment and our testing areas set up in a way that prioritizes function over form. It’s not a shiny, sterile environment like you see in movies. It’s a working lab where people are constantly measuring and analyzing things. The sounds of the street, with the local shops and the bikes going past, are always in the background. We don't have a big marketing department or a polished public image. Most of our clients come to us because they need technical work done and they know we are here in Shahdra. It’s a bit of a maze to get to us the first time, but once you know the way through Chakki Wali Gali, it’s easy enough. We just focus on the samples and the reports, keeping things simple and honest. It’s a tough, fast-paced environment, but that’s just life in East Delhi. There is always someone working on a machine or writing down notes on a clipboard for a client. We don't mind the noise much.
