Soory No

Out here in R.Udayagiri, things move at a different pace compared to the bigger cities in Orissa. Manmath Patro started Soory No up in the Gajapati district because this is home. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning in every room. Usually, you’ll find us just managing whatever needs doing for the day. The roads around here can be a bit rough, especially when the rains start, but people still find their way to us. We don't spend money on big advertisements or anything like that. Word travels fast in a place like this, so everyone knows where the office is anyway. It’s a simple operation. Sometimes the power goes out for a few hours and we just sit and wait it out or do what we can by hand. That’s just how life is in this part of the state. We’ve got a small desk and a few chairs for when people stop by to talk. It isn't much to look at, but it’s where we do our work. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We just want to handle our business and help out the folks around R.Udayagiri. It’s honest work, and we stay busy enough to keep the lights on and the doors open. If you’re ever passing through this part of Gajapati, you’ll see our small sign near the main path. It’s just us doing what we can with what we have. Most days we are just catching up on paperwork or talking to neighbors. It is home.
