Our office is tucked away in Dundlod House on Shivmarg. It’s a decent spot in the Nandpuri area of Jaipur, right off Hawa Sadak. Som Datt Builders Pvt Ltd. has been operating out of C-60 for some time now. We aren't a big operation with hundreds of people, just a local team that knows how to put a building together. Jaipur is growing fast and there is always something needing to be fixed or built from scratch. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the local heat and making sure the supplies show up when they are supposed to. Sometimes the trucks get delayed, and we have to scramble. That’s just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or anything. It’s mostly just desks covered in maps and site photos. Most of us have been in this trade since we were young. We learned from our dads or uncles. It’s honest work that leaves you tired at the end of the shift. We aren't here to give you a sales pitch. If there is a project, we look at it and tell you if we can do it. Most of our work comes from people seeing what we’ve done elsewhere in the city. We just stay focused on the bricks and the cement. It keeps life simple and the projects moving along. There's always a new challenge to deal with on-site, but we just take it one brick at a time.
