Sky Scrapers, New Delhi

You can find us over in North Delhi, specifically in Rohini Sector 18. Our place is B-22 in Suraj Park, which is right in the middle of Samai Pur. It’s a pretty industrial kind of area, so there’s always dust in the air and the sound of trucks moving back and forth. We called ourselves Sky Scrapers, though we mostly work on more grounded stuff around the city. Being in Delhi means dealing with the crazy traffic and the extreme weather, from the freezing winters to those summer days where you feel like you’re melting. Our office is just a plain room where we keep our registers and talk to the guys. We aren't the type to wear suits or have long meetings that go nowhere. Usually, we are just figuring out which truck is going where or why the sand hasn't arrived yet. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of Samai Pur. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and we know the local suppliers and the shortcuts through the narrow lanes. We don’t promise the world, we just try to get the building work done so people can move in. It’s a tough business and there are always problems to solve, but we just take them one by one. Our team is small, just a few of us who have been in the trade since we were younger.
