Site Engineer(Civil)

My name is Manik Chandra Rajput and I’m a civil site engineer. I live in Suraj Pur Rudhaini village. It’s near the Sray Shekh Bharthra post office in Firozabad district. The pin code for this part of Uttar Pradesh is 205151. Most of my work involves being out on the field at various construction sites. I’m usually checking on the masonry work or the foundation levels. I don’t have a fancy office in the city. I spend my days walking through mud and dust. Being from a village, I’m used to the outdoor life. I’ve been doing civil work for quite a few years now. Firozabad is mostly known for glass, but there is always a lot of building work going on too. I travel a lot for my projects. Sometimes I’m quite far from home for weeks. It’s a lot of manual checking and talking to the workers. I don't use any complicated corporate words. I just explain things simply so the work gets done right. My house is a plain place where I keep my instruments and files. People from the village sometimes come to me for help with their own small building projects. I try to give them some honest advice. It’s a long day from sunrise to sunset, but I’m okay with that. It’s just me doing my job as an engineer in the local area.
