Singla Cables

Singla Cables is based at 531-B in the Old Lajpat Rai Market. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know it’s a maze of wires, parts, and people constantly moving around. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We deal in all kinds of cables, from thin household wires to heavy-duty industrial stuff. The walls are lined with huge spools of different colors and thicknesses. It’s a noisy environment with the sounds of the market all around us, but we’re used to it. We spend our day measuring out lengths of cable and cutting them to order. It’s physical work, and our hands are usually a bit dirty from handling the rubber and copper all day. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that try their best. We’ve been in Old Lajpat Rai Market for a long time, and we know many of the other shopkeepers around here. It’s a place built on hard work and being present every day. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people just come to the stall because they know we have what they need in stock. The floor is usually covered in little bits of wire and plastic offcuts. We sweep up at the end of the day and start all over again the next morning. It’s a basic, tough business, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
