You can find us at No. 87 B on Hill Street. It’s a bit of a climb if you’re walking from the bottom of the road, hence the name. We handle pharmaceutical supplies here in this building. The shop is tucked away between a couple of other older buildings. Inside, it smells a bit like medicine and old paper. We have shelves lining almost every wall, filled with boxes and bottles. It’s just a few of us working here most days. We spend a lot of time checking dates and making sure the stock is rotated properly. The desk in the front is where we take most of the orders. It’s an old wooden desk that’s been here since before I started working here. Hill Street gets quite busy in the afternoons with people heading home, so we try to get our main deliveries done early in the morning. The light in the back room is a bit dim, so we usually have to bring a torch if we’re looking for something specific on the top shelves. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just talk to people who come in or call us up on the landline. It’s a simple way to run things, and it works for what we need. Sometimes the cat from next door wanders in and we have to shoo it out. It’s a quiet life on Hill Street for the most part, just steady work and local faces.
