Being on Sohna Road in Gurgaon means you’re always in the middle of growth. Our office for Simplex Infrastructures Limited is on the first floor of D1/43 in South City II. It’s a decent spot. Hemanta Kumar Bhattacharya’s place is easy enough to find if you know the landmark. Gurgaon can feel very corporate, but our office doesn’t really fit that mold. We’ve got stacks of files and a kitchen that usually smells like coffee. The first-floor view isn't much, just the street and some trees, but it’s home for us during the work week. We deal with a lot of infrastructure projects in Haryana, so this is our main hub for planning. It’s a bit more modern than some of our other spots, but it’s still just a place where people work hard. We don't have a PR team or anyone to polish our image. We just answer the phones and try to keep the projects on track. The traffic on Sohna Road is the worst part of the day, honestly. But once you’re inside, it’s just quiet work. We have a few big tables for spreading out the drawings. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when we’re debating a design, but that’s just how it goes. It’s a functional space for people who actually do the work.
