Up here in New Delhi, you’ll find our office at 77-Ber Saray. It’s a busy neighborhood, especially with all the students from the nearby universities walking around looking for books or snacks. Simplex Infrastructure Ltd. has a desk here where we handle a lot of the northern projects. The room is usually filled with the sound of the traffic outside and the hum of the air conditioner trying its best against the Delhi heat. We don’t have a lot of space for anything that isn't necessary. There are rolls of blueprints in the corners and helmets sitting on the shelves. Working in infrastructure in a city this big means you are always dealing with some kind of logjam, whether it’s on the road or with the paperwork. We just take it one day at a time. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. It’s more of a home base for the engineers and supervisors who are usually out in the field. We drink a lot of water and try to stay organized despite the chaos of the city. We’ve been at this address for a while and people know us as the ones who get the job done without making a big scene about it. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just focus on the concrete, the steel, and the timelines. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know, and we do it from this small corner of the capital.
