We’ve been here at B 18 in the Wazirpur Industrial Area for a good while now. If you are looking for us, we are tucked away at the back side of the building. It’s a bit of a maze back here sometimes, especially when trucks are unloading metal sheets or whatever else is coming in that day. My father started things off and I just kind of took over the daily running of Shubham Enterprises. The air in Wazirpur is always thick with the sound of machinery and the smell of grease, but it’s what we know. We don’t have any fancy reception area or air conditioning that works all the time. Mostly it is just us at our desks or on the floor making sure things get done. It gets pretty hot in the summers, but we keep the fans going. People stop by all the time asking for directions because the numbering in this block is a bit confusing. We just point them the right way and get back to work. There’s always plenty of paperwork to handle and orders to sort out. It’s not a glamorous life, but it keeps the lights on. We know most of the guys in the neighboring plots. We’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years. Some businesses closed down, others moved to bigger spots, but we stayed right here in our corner. It’s a busy place and there’s always something needing attention.
