Shriram Cement

We are tucked away in Anupam Enclave, Phase 2, over in the Saidulajab Extension area of New Delhi. It is a bit of a maze finding Building 4, but we are on the first floor in Flat 5. This is Shriram Cement. We handle the supply and distribution side of things. Cement is one of those things people do not think about much until they need a lot of it for a project. We spend most of our time talking to suppliers and making sure bags get where they need to go. New Delhi traffic makes that a real challenge sometimes. Our office is not anything special to look at, just a practical place to keep the books and take orders. It gets noisy around here with the city sounds, but we are used to it by now. We started this because we knew the area and saw how much building was happening. It is a lot of lifting and tracking shipments. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it is quiet. We are not fancy people. We just know the cement business well. We have had the same few guys helping out for a long time now. It feels like a small family business even though we deal with large quantities. We just try to be honest about what we have in stock. If we cannot get something, we just say so. That is how we operate. (250 words)
