About Shri Balaji Glass & Pipe House – Electrical in Delhi
We’re over in Rama Market, specifically at No. 219-B/4. Pitampura is a busy area for this kind of trade, and Shri Balaji Glass & Pipe House has been part of it for a while. We’ve got glass sheets and pipes stacked up pretty much everywhere you look in the shop. It’s a bit of a maze once you get past the front desk. Most of the day is spent cutting glass to size or loading heavy pipes onto trucks for delivery. It’s hard work and you have to be careful with the glass, obviously. We’ve had a few breaks over the years, but that’s just part of the trade. My father started this and now we’re just keeping the shop going. The place isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space for practical items. People from the neighborhood come in when they’re fixing up their houses or if a window breaks. We also deal with contractors who need a lot of piping for plumbing jobs. It’s a lot of lifting and measuring. The dust from the cutting gets everywhere, no matter how much we sweep. We usually have the radio on to keep us moving through the tasks. It gets pretty hot in the summer months, but we just get on with it. There’s always someone coming in asking for a specific diameter or a certain thickness of glass. We try to keep a bit of everything in stock. It’s a simple business. We just provide the materials for local builds.
