We’ve been at A-27 on G.T. Karnal Road for quite some time now. This area is known for being a major hub, so there are always heavy trucks rumbling past our gates. The mill itself is a big, older building that has seen a lot of history. Inside, it’s quite noisy because of the machinery, but you get used to it after a while. We produce a lot of textiles here, and the floors are often covered in a thin layer of lint. It’s a big operation with different sections for weaving and finishing. We have a lot of workers coming in on shifts, so the place never really sleeps. The office part of the building is a bit quieter, with old wooden desks and stacks of ledgers. We don’t go in for modern decorations; we just keep things the way they’ve always been because it works for us. The commute can be tough with the traffic on the main road, but once you’re inside the gates, it feels like its own little world. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the yarn and making sure the looms are running smooth. It’s a lot of maintenance and keeping an eye on the details. We’re just one of the many mills along this stretch, but we take pride in the fact that we’ve kept going. In the winter, we all huddle in the small breakroom with hot tea before the morning shift starts.
