Shivam Plywood

Shivam Plywood is located at Pitampura Rama Market 219 A and it is a pretty straightforward operation we have here. We mostly sell plywood sheets and blockboards to people who are making furniture or doing construction work nearby. The shop always has that strong smell of wood and glue which you get used to after a few days of working here. We have big stacks of ply leaning against the walls and we have to move them around quite a bit to get to the right thickness for a customer. It is a workout for the arms and back especially when the big eight by four sheets come in. The Rama Market area is always buzzing with people looking for building materials so we stay quite busy most days. We don't have a website or any fancy social media pages to show off. We just open the shop in the morning and wait for people to walk in and tell us what they need for their projects. There are a few of us here who handle the loading onto the small tempos and rickshaws that wait outside. We keep our records in a big handwritten ledger and try to keep things simple and honest. It is a practical business and we have been a part of this local market for quite a few years now without needing to change much about how we work day to day.
