About Shivam Handloom Emporium – Fashion & Trends in Delhi
We are over at 683 Rishi Nagar in Rani Bagh. If you know where the Arya Samaj Mandir is, we are right across from it. The shop has been here for a good while now. Most days it’s just us folding up different handloom fabrics and putting them back on the shelves after someone looks through them. It’s a lot of work keeping everything neat because people like to feel the material. We’ve got bedspreads, curtains, and some towels stacked up high. Sometimes the light in here isn't the brightest, but you can see the colors well enough. We start early in the morning, usually around the time the neighborhood wakes up. It can get a bit loud with the traffic outside, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of the fans. We don't have a big fancy team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone asks for a specific print, we usually have to dig through a couple of piles to find it. It’s a simple setup. We don’t spend much time on decorations or anything like that. The shelves are wooden and old, but they hold a lot of weight. Most people who come in live nearby and just walk over. We talk about the weather or the news while they decide what to buy. It’s just how things go here every day. It's not a fancy place, just our local business.
