Shimizu Corporation

Shimizu Corporation is located at H.No. 3A-39 in the N.I.T. area of Faridabad, Haryana. This is an older part of the city, and the house numbers can be a bit confusing if you aren't from around here. Our office is basically a house that we’ve repurposed. It has that solid, brick-and-mortar feel of old Faridabad. The street outside is narrow, and you have to be careful when pulling a car in. There is usually a bit of dust because of the industrial nature of the city, but that’s just Faridabad for you. Inside, we’ve got several rooms filled with desks and storage cabinets. It doesn't look like a corporate headquarters, and we aren't trying to make it look like one. It’s a place where we come to work and talk through our plans. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea several times a day. The weather in Haryana can be extreme, really hot in the summer and quite chilly in the winter, so we are always adjusting the heaters or fans. We have a lot of local guys working with us, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed and informal. We don't use fancy titles or wear suits. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment. Most of us have been working together for years, so we know each other's habits well enough. We are just a local team doing our bit in N.I.T. and keeping things moving forward.
