Shimizu Corporation International Division

Our office is located in Khanjarpur village, which is part of the Roorkee area in the Haridwar district. Being up here in Uttarakhand, or U.K. as we often write it, gives us a different pace than the big cities. Shimizu Corporation International Division sounds like it should be in a skyscraper, but we are right here in the village. It’s a practical setup. We have what we need to get the job done. The roads around Roorkee can get a little dusty during the dry season, but we don’t mind. We spend our hours going through papers and managing things from this specific spot. Most of the people working here are local, so we know the area pretty well. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We have some chairs, tables, and the equipment we need for our daily tasks. It’s an honest way to work. People drop by sometimes to ask questions, and we do what we can to help them out. The village life is slower, but the work still moves along at its own pace. We've been at this Khanjarpur location for a while now, and it feels like home for the business. There is no corporate vibe here at all, just a group of people working together in a quiet part of the Haridwar district. We keep our files organized and our coffee pot full. It is a simple life but the work is steady and we like it that way.
