We’ve been at this spot in New Delhi for a while now, up on the first floor of C2/226. It’s not a fancy office, but it gets the job done for us. Mostly we’re out on sites anyway, so the office is just a place to store files and take a few calls. My dad started doing this kind of work years ago and I just sort of fell into it after school. It’s hard work, dealing with the heat and the dust, but seeing a building actually go up is something else. We handle a lot of the local building needs around here. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, especially with the rules changing all the time in Delhi. We just try to keep our heads down and finish what we started. You’ll usually find one of us drinking tea near the site entrance in the mornings. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most people find us because they saw our trucks or heard from a neighbor who had work done. The office is usually cluttered with blueprints and old samples of tiles. We try to keep things organized but when things get busy, that’s the first thing to go. It’s just how it is. If you stop by the office, someone is usually there, unless we’re all out at a site visit. We’ve seen the city change quite a bit from this office over the years.
