Shapoorjipallonji&Co Ltd

We’ve been based out of 43 Nirman in the Chandlodia area of Ahmedabad for quite some time now. It’s a practical setup here at Shapoorjipallonji&Co Ltd, nothing too flashy. The building is easy to find if you know the Chandlodia-Po neighborhood. Most mornings start with the sound of the traffic outside and the smell of breakfast from the nearby shops. Our office is just a bunch of desks, some computers, and a lot of files that keep growing. We spend most of our hours here dealing with whatever comes up during the workday. It gets really warm in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed. Lunch is usually a shared thing, with everyone bringing dabbas from home and sitting together. We don't have a big corporate canteen or anything like that. It’s just us. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we end up chatting while waiting for things to load. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody really minds. We are more interested in getting the work out of the way. People walk in and out all day, mostly staff and a few delivery folks. It’s a very local atmosphere, where everyone knows the guy who brings the water bottles. We like it this way because it feels real and grounded. It is just a regular office where we try to stay productive despite the heat of the Gujarat sun. We just show up and do the work.
