You can find us at 157 Gali No 3 in the Mithapur Vistar area of Badarpur. Being in New Delhi, everything is always crowded and noisy, and our street is no different. It’s a narrow gali, so if a big truck comes through, everything stops for a while. The office for Shapoorji Palonji Co. Ltd is right in the middle of all that activity. It is a humble space, nothing like the fancy ones downtown. We have two main rooms where we do all the scheduling and handle the worker logs. The walls are painted a pale yellow that has faded over the years. We have a lot of files piled up because there never seems to be enough shelf space for everything. It gets really hot in the summer months, and the ceiling fans just move the warm air around, but we are used to it by now. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background to keep us company. It helps drown out the constant noise of the traffic from the main road. We don't do anything promotional here; we just handle the backend of the construction projects. It’s a place where we drink a lot of water and try to stay organized despite the general chaos of the city outside. Most of the people living in the vistar know we are here. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local office doing its part. It’s just a regular building with people working hard inside every single day.
