Fashion Overseas

Our place is at B. Q. -150 in Shalimar Bagh. It’s a decent sized space, but it fills up fast when the new shipments arrive. Fashion Overseas isn’t as grand as the name might sound to some people. It’s a practical office and storage area where we handle everything ourselves. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists. The floor is concrete, and we’ve got these heavy metal shelves that we put together ourselves. One of them wobbles a bit, so we put a piece of folded cardboard under the leg. It’s been like that for a year and it works fine. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the back with a cup of tea, looking over the ledgers. The lighting is just regular fluorescent tubes. It’s not a place built for photos; it’s a place built for work. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know the shortcuts and where to get the best lunch nearby. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a big corporate image. We just want to make sure the orders get out on time and the quality is what it should be. It’s a straightforward job and we like it that way. No one here is wearing a suit.
