Shakti Overseas

Our place is at 2862 Hamilton Road, which is right in the middle of the Kashmere Gate area. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how packed and busy it gets. Hamilton Road is famous for auto parts and all sorts of trade, so there’s never a quiet moment. Shakti Overseas is located in an old building that has a lot of character, even if the walls are a bit cracked here and there. The entrance is a bit small, and you have to dodge the rickshaws and delivery carts to get inside. We have several rooms filled with stock and desks where we manage the export side of things. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the boxes stacked up in the hallways. The ceiling fans work overtime during the summer months to keep us cool. We’ve been in this neighborhood for quite a while, so we know the local tea sellers and the other shopkeepers quite well. The noise from the street is something you just stop noticing after a few weeks. We spend our days typing out invoices, talking to shippers, and checking the crates before they go out. It’s not a glamorous job, and the office is definitely more about function than style. We use every bit of space we have to keep the business moving. It’s just the way things are done around Kashmere Gate for a small firm like ours.
