Samarth Cables

We started this little place in Shahdara some time ago. It’s right across from the mental hospital on Dilshad Garden Street, so most people find us that way. It’s a bit of a busy spot with all the traffic. Inside, it’s mostly just us and stacks of cable rolls everywhere you look. Some are thick, some are thin, and they all have that rubbery smell when the weather gets hot. We don’t really have a fancy office or anything like that. Just some desks and a lot of inventory to move. Most days involve a lot of cutting wire to size and making sure the orders go out to the right places. It gets pretty loud outside during the day. We’ve had a few different people working here over the years, mostly locals from around the neighborhood. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break, but usually, we are just busy with the coils. The address is A 77/6, it’s a bit tucked in but once you see the hospital gate you know you’re close. It isn't a glamorous job but it keeps us going. Shahdara can be a bit much with the dust and the people always in a rush, but we are used to it by now. We try to keep things organized but with so many different types of cables, it's hard. There's always someone looking for something specific that's at the bottom of a pile.
